What a file should contain
A workable file fits in ten lines. The more precise it is, the more precise the answer: we would rather have one dense email than three qualification calls.
- Volumes: number of instances or servers, usable storage capacity
- Load profile: reads and writes, peaks, seasonality
- Latency constraints and where your users are
- Target RPO and RTO, and whether a failover test is expected
- Deadline and migration constraints from what you run today
